Here are a few pictures of a driveway and patio project carried out by Drivescape Paving in Tallaght.
Firstly we removed the existing driveway. Then we laid down our foundation, which of course means a type 1 MOT base.
For a nice colour contrast, we opted for a Silver Granite brick border set in concrete all around the perimeter.
Then we poured down a layer of asphalt and power rolled it smooth.
For the patio portion of the project, we dug out the old patio and lawn. We replaced the foundation with an 804 sub-base and installed a heavy duty, weed protecting membrane.
We laid the Indian Sandstone slabs on a bed of concrete for extra durability, and filled the rest of the space with a roll-out turf. Both of these surfaces are well known for their classy look and low maintenance.
